PBS launches more than 25 free games in Spanish for kids.
PBS just launched more than 25 free educational Spanish games to play with our kids at home or on the road. This proves to show that Spanish is an important language and that there is support from our Public Broadcasting Television to support our mission of educating bilingual children. The games are sorted by common themes and math curriculum. This is a great resource and I'm very excited to share it with you. Que disfruten!

Bilinguals process both Languages
This was an excellent read on the benefits of raising bilingual children.
"Fluent bilinguals seem to have both languages active at all times, whether both languages are consciously being used or not, the researchers report in a recent issue of Frontiers in Psychology. Both languages are active whether either was used only seconds earlier or several days earlier."

Bienvenidos
Hello Parents,
Welcome once again to The Language Tree Spanish class blog. In this blog we will share songs, activities and best practices to do at home with your kids. Many of these songs are childhood songs and others are original lyrics written by me. They are simple, repetitive and easy to learn. I will upload many of the songs that we'll learn in the class. They will mostly correspond with the theme of the week. This first week is all about our little ones. We begin with the five sense because through their senses they experiment with the world around them. Through their senses they become who they are. This song is an original song.
